Nozwelo Moyo

Nozwelo Moyo is a batique and quilt artist from Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
In her unique artwork she tells stories of village life, local people and their traditions. Victoria Falls and Hwange district are in a large national park area, where interaction with and respect for wild animals is the norm. Some of her work also shows such wild animals.
She dropped out of school at a young age because of pregnancy.

She’s coming from a single parent family and is working in the Curio Market, a women’s cooperative in Zimbabwe together with her mother. She sees education as key to the future of her children, but also for herself and is taking further education courses to become a more successful entrepreneur.  She supports the cause of empowermefirst.college, not just by donating some of her work, but also by promoting empowermefirst Zimbabwe to the women in the cooperative.
